Over 200 visitors attended the national three-day Prep School SATIPS Art Exhibition held at Moreton Hall. The inspirational event showcased the work of talented young artists from Prep Schools nationwide including Moreton Hall Prep, St Helen’s College, King’s College Junior School, RGS Springfield, Habderdasher’s Boys’ Prep School, Bromsgrove Preparatory School, Heatherton House School, Brockhurst & Marlston House School, Forres Sandle Manor, Millfield Prep School and Tockington Manor School.
The exhibition, displaying a collection of 180 pieces including 3D models, was officially opened by Moreton Hall principal, Mr Michael Brewer, and SATIPS council chair David Kendall and saw exhibitors t ravel far and wide to attend the gallery event.
One parent commented: “What amazing work! Such talent on display from such young pupils. I have been very impressed indeed.”
Whilst another visitor to the exhibition, said: “Absolutely amazed at the beautiful and varied artwork on display - I wish some of them were for sale! The care taken in presenting the work conveys to the artist how much their creativity is valued.”
Moreton Hall will also host the SATIPS art exhibition in 2025.

The 2023 SATIPS Art Exhibition, hosted by RMS for Girls, attracted nearly 500 visitors, with a truly overwhelming response, and everyone who attended was impressed by the artistic talent on show from 25 schools across the country.
Sheara left RMS in 1998 to pursue her passion for art, reading History of Art at Bristol University before studying Costume Design at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

The Competition
The 2022 SATIPS National Prep Schools’ Art Exhibition was held at RMS for Girls in April 2022, including an official opening of the exhibition, a VIP lunch and private view. SATIPS is grateful to RMG for Girls for hosting the event and we hope to build on what was a wonderful showcase of work from young artists this year.
This exhibition is usually held ‘in real life’ but in 2021, we moved it to a virtual exhibition in association with Cheltenham College Preparatory School.

Cheltenham Prep is a prep school for girls and boys aged 3-13. Located at the heart of Cheltenham, surrounded by the green hills of the Cotswolds, The Prep is the perfect first chapter for your child’s education. Children at The Prep have great fun and the chance to try new things every single day. Whether it is on the stage, in the choir, the classroom on the sports pitches or beyond, everyone has the opportunity to try everything and to discover something that they love.
We were keen to support the SATIPs Art Exhibition in 2021 to help support children across the country to discover their creative talent and share it with the world. Thank you to everyone that has helped to make this SATIPs event a reality. We hope that you enjoy taking part and viewing the exhibited artworks. Prep School life should be an adventure, and our artists’ participation in this event is another exciting tale they will have to tell their parents about on the drive home after school today.

The Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth April 25th - 28th.
This is an ideal opportunity for member schools to exhibit up to eight pieces of pupils' work selected from Years 3-8. The art will be on show in Cadogan House for different groups from 25th to 28th April 2020.
The exhibition will be officially opened in a private view event for Headteachers and Heads of Art on Saturday 25th April, followed by a private viewing day for the artists and their families on Sunday 26th April 10am until 4pm. The exhibition is then open for school visits on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th April 2020.

Open to pupils from Reception to Year 8, the exhibition was an opportunity for each member school to display up to eight pieces of their pupils’ artwork. Bromsgrove was delighted that fifty-one member schools sent artwork for display. The standard of work was incredibly high and the artwork ranged from individual masterpieces, to 2D and 3D work and collaborative pieces.
The Exhibition was launched on Saturday 27th April, with a private view event for Head Teachers and Art Teachers, and on Sunday 28th April for artists and their families. The Exhibition was then open for school visits from Monday 29th April to Friday 10th May. Many participating schools bought groups to the visit the exhibition and take part in artist workshops with visiting artist Mark Lippett. During visits art teachers encouraged their pupils to record artworks that captured their imagination in their sketchbooks and talk about what they found inspirational in front of their classmates.
Bromsgrove School have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the SATIPS National Prep Schools’ Art Exhibition in 2018 and 2019. Next year the exhibition will move to The Royal Masonic School for Girls.
