Paul Baker FRGS, Chartered Geographer, MA (Geography and EDucation), B.Sc Geography.
Paul taught Geography in 2 Prep and 3 Senior Independent Schools over 38 years from1970 to 2008. He was Head of Department in 3 of these Schools. His final 17 years was at the Dragon School in Oxford where he was Head of Geography and Director of Activities.
He also during his time as a teacher explored with pupils a great number of environments in a variety of countries including Sabah, Brunei , Morocco, France, Italy and much of the UK. He has served on the Council of the Royal Geographical Society and since 2009 is fully involved as a PGCE tutor and MA Supervisor for the University of Buckingham Faculty of Education.
He is an Ambassador for Earthwatch Europe and from 2013 to 2018 organised student expeditions for them.He lives in Nottingham where he edits the Thoroton History and Archaeology Society Newsletter and enjoys watching cricket at Trent Bridge. He enjoys watching Rugby and Manchester United who he has supported since seeing the Busby Babes play in 1957.
