David taught for nearly 40 years in a variety of independent prep and junior schools. He has been Head of History in several schools, chaired Teachers of History in Independent Schools and led a number of conferences on the subject.
In leadership roles he was Director Studies at Westminster under School, Deputy Head Upper School at Newton Prep and recently retired as Headteacher of Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital Junior School in Bristol.
His interests are coaching and leadership development for both pupils and staff. In his spare time, he enjoys hill walking, photography, military history and cooking.
