The course

The new History National Curriculum contains many new topics but loses many more very popular topics. This course will cover the content of the New Curriculum and how to retain the best bits of the old. It will look at good quality History subject leadership in schools and the elements a good History curriculum should cover across the key stages.

Jacqueline Harris is an Education Consultant in London. Prior to that she was Deputy Head of an oversubscribed primary school in Hertfordshire. She has previously run well received courses on History and has successfully led History in schools for over two decades. Jacqueline is involved in Initial Teacher Training through the Graduate Teacher Programme. She has a degree in History and her other passion is high quality children’s literature and inspiring children to be lifelong readers.
